HVAC Germicidal UV

Most HVACs are operating at a 34% decreased capacity which means your energy bills are higher than needed while low air circulation creates an unhealthy environment due to stale air formation.

ASHRAE recommends revamping HVACs with UV-C lights to combat COVID-19 because they're proven to:

- increase air flow by as much as 43%

- decrease energy bills to show a ROI within 5 months

- improve air quality and reduce Upper Respiratory Infections

DEF SO Series

DEF SO fixtures are the industry standard for HVAC fixturing. They are designed for use in HVAC environments to provide surface irradiation of cooling coils to regain heat transfer, eliminate coil maintenance and improve indoor air quality. These fixtures feature a 120-277V waterproof ballast that will withstand the harshest HVAC environments

DEF HO Series

DEF HO fixtures build on the industry standard to provide up to two times the output of standard fixtures for enhanced airborne kill rates. They are designed to provide a higher level of irradiation in HVAC environments whether for airborne kills or for surface irradiation. Often, fewer of these higher output devices can be used to save space, installation labor and lamp replacement costs.

X-PLUS™

The X-Plus combine’s maximum UV-C performance with an affordably priced NEMA 4x rated, single-ended lamp fixture that can be used most anywhere UV-C is needed. X-Plus installs on the exterior of most any HVAC unit or duct, outdoors or in, and the lamp projects into the airstream, including those areas downstream of the coil.

SLX High Output UV-C Fixture

Fixture is factory-assembled and tested. It has a powder coated galvanized steel housing, a “waterproof” power source, lamp socket, FEP coated lamp and LED lamp/power supply monitor.  Construction is designed to withstand typical HVAC/R environments.
Housing is constructed of heavy-gauge powder coated galvanized steel with 4 - ½” or ¾” conduit knockouts on the housing’s bottom, sides and end for hard or soft wiring.  The fixture is designed to be mounted and serviced from the exterior of its installation site; such that, the lamp protrudes into “conditioned” air.  It can be externally mounted anywhere in an HVAC/R system or as shown on system plans.

How It Works?

UV-C photons inactivate viruses by interacting with the RNA and DNA molecules in a virus or bacterium to render it non-infectious. GUV can control the spread of COVID-19 transmission by disinfecting the air and surfaces with the solutions mentioned above.

Note About COVID-19

There have been many inquires regarding the effectiveness of UV light against the Coronavirus.

UV is a proven disinfectant and will kill virtually microscopic organisms if the dose is high enough and the time of exposure is long enough. UV has been in use in a variety of applications since the 1930s and most recently discussed in a statement by The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) in their “Proactive guidance to help address coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)” as it relates to heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems.

UV is known to kill organisms similar in size and structure to the Coronavirus. However, there has not yet been specific testing completed to determine the needed UV treatment to kill Coronavirus.

Please keep in mind that UV air and surface disinfection products are not medical devices and no medical claims are made.
