Note About COVID-19

There have been many inquires regarding the effectiveness of UV light against the Coronavirus.

UV is a proven disinfectant and will kill virtually microscopic organisms if the dose is high enough and the time of exposure is long enough. UV has been in use in a variety of applications since the 1930s and most recently discussed in a statement by The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) in their “Proactive guidance to help address coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)” as it relates to heating, ventilating and air-conditioning systems.

UV is known to kill organisms similar in size and structure to the Coronavirus. However, there has not yet been specific testing completed to determine the needed UV treatment to kill Coronavirus.

Please keep in mind that UV air and surface disinfection products are not medical devices and no medical claims are made.

How It Works?

UV-C photons inactivate viruses by interacting with the RNA and DNA molecules in a virus or bacterium to render it non-infectious. GUV can control the spread of COVID-19 transmission by disinfecting the air and surfaces with the solutions mentioned above.
